Shotgun Shotti is a Camden born rapper/songwriter who is also one half Screwface Music’s secret weapon, the Hip Rock Rebels- Midnight Action. Shotti came to SFM as a member of the group The Kongregashun along with
his cohort Huskee Fresh. It was obvious from the start that they had
good chemistry with Traxx and after a few sessions in the Screwface Lab out came a mysterious concoction know as Midnight Action. A much needed musical elixir in this time of creative convalescence, the sky is the limit for this dynamic duo. Shotgun is also an extremely talented songwriter who has contributed to many SFM projects including The Fly Boyz 747.24.7 as well as the soon to be released Shantall project.
How did you choose your name?
An Old Jay-Z verse from puffs first album. I swear he said it's the R shotti on that song young g's. Eventually I dropped the R and added shotgun just cause it sounded hot.
How would you define your style?
(thinks for a sec) Crazy , absurd, Nuts…. Gym Class Heroes meets Tenacious D
How did you get down with Screwface?
We were actually the first artists on Screwface besides Notiq and Traxx . Traxx actually produced and recorded my first album with my first group the Kongregashun and I had known him for a few years. They liked our sound and we became a part of the team.
What would you like to be doing in 10 years?
I hope to still be doing music in some capacity weather writing or artist development. I wanna make a living off of this it's a passion and whats better then to be getting paid well doing somthing you luv (leans back)
What do you think about the state of the industry?
(leans forward)- Wack is what I think of the industry. A lot of good artist cant get a shot and labels are promoting the same kind of music. Even if its trash they puttin it out. I can’t blame the artist.. blame the machine for the state of hip hop. In my opinion indie is the way to go.
Why should people buy your album?
It’s funny , brash, dumb ass hell and shocking But good music
Whats it like to have your partner incarcerated in the middle of recording an album?
I miss him being around but our album was pretty much done so we weren’t doing any new material. But you can’t promote or shop a project when one half of your group gone. I just shifted my focus to writing hooks, r&b and Pop helping out the other artist and doing features.

He's doing well, lost a bunch of weight so I look forward to him getting back to work sometime soon.
