Jason "Jay Criss" Christopher was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey. At the age of 13, he began writing and executive producing music. The issues of everyday life and the economic struggle his family was going through motivated him to create and sell his first mixtape album entitled "Nothing 2 Lose." It was this sound that connected him with production and recording company "Screwface Music Group." Eventually, with his experience at Screwface Jay later helped start the music group "Lowlife Is Music."
